The single biggest reason why startups succeed | Bill Gross

Bill Gross has founded a lot of startups, and incubated many others — and he got curious about why some succeeded and others failed. So he gathered data from hundreds of companies, his own and other people’s, and ranked each company on five key factors. He found one factor that stands out from the others — and surprised even him.

Top 10 Online Income Opportunities

Top 10 Online Income Opportunities
Today I want to talk about some ideas of how to make money online (on the internet) and not just from home. Even if you have a home based business such as a lawn care service, dog walking http://refer.rover.com/v2/share/6428699487534682800 or even a personal assistant type business you may want to consider expanding your business to the internet for a couple of reason.
#1 If you are only doing business in your local community you are missing out on earning from the rest of the country or even the world.
#2 The other reason a person may want to earn online is because they either don’t want to go out physically and do a home based type business because of health reasons or it’s easier to work an online businesses at night after working a job that they may have during the day until they are earning a full time income.
1. Affiliate programs – Earn a certain percentage or amount when referring a customer who makes a purchase or signs up for a program. Affiliate companies work in many different ways. A few companies to look at would be Commission Junction, Click Bank, Share-A-Sale (this is the one I use. Feel free to use my referral link http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?B=44&U=399948&M=47&urllink=

2. Direct Sales companies can be both a home-based business or completely online. You would have to check with each company and find out the details on what is allowed and what is not. Some examples of Direct Sales companies would be Avon http://www.start.avon.com enter Reference code melodyschafer , Tupperware, Fuller Brush and Jewelry In Candles just to name just a few.

3. Amazon FBA
When a person opens a store with Amazon and signs up for FBA they will ship the products to Amazon warehouses and then Amazon ships the product to customer when the product is sold. FBA stands for Fullfilled By Amazon goo.gl/RKAGbj eBay has a similar option.

4. Create your own website or store and have customers come to you and buy directly. I do find this to be MUCH more difficult because getting traffic to your site is VERY difficult and SUPER expensive if you try to pay for ads…but people do it and some are successful. Some have both a store they have created and also sell on larger platforms.

5. SELL on Etsy sell on etsy http://etsy.me/1XV1XOA

6. YouTube Channel – You can earn a few different way by starting a YouTube channel. Have a channel that talks about something that you love. Talk about cars, hunting, RVing, boating, vlog about your everyday life…talk about whatever you are passionate about…just have fun with it.
6a. Some ways to earn with that YouTube channel would be by running Google Ads on YouTube channel videos, but the earnings are minimal unless of course you have a HUGE following. You want to start a channel because you are passionate about something and want to share with others and not because you think you can earn $$.
Making videos, editing and uploading can take a very long time and equipment is can get pricey if you start buying cameras, microphones, tripods, editing software, etc…
6b. Once you have a larger audience you can join companies who connect sponsors who have products with video creators who can promote them. Famebit is the one I have heard the most about and has a good reputation. You need to have 5000 subscribers on YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, Tumblr or Facebook in order to join.
If this is something you are interested in doing please use my link. http://famebit.com/a/LivingFreeForever I do get points for referring folks to this company which I can turn in for products like t-shirts, headsets, gift cards and more. It is free to join. New sponsored products are put up daily so you can wait until the right product comes along before you submit your proposal. You want to be sure you promote only products you believe in and that fit with what your channel is about. Just have fun!
7. Online tutoring is becoming more popular. You can teach math, science, languages, etc. online People use platforms such as Skype or Facetime.
8. Stock photo and videos. https://submit.shutterstock.com/?ref=171064384
9. Writer – Short stories for magazines.
Novels.
Articles for newspapers and magazines.
Blogging for yourself or for companies

10. Fiverr http://www.fiverr.com/s2/8798fc3623 I am a customer and do not earn on this site but you can if you are knowledgeable in the following areas.
• Graphic & designs
• Digital Marketing

Business Models and the Internet of Things

Even though digitalisation has radically changed the way we do business, the physical and the digital world are still separated from each other. This is, however, about to change with the Internet of Things. The Internet of Things stands for the vision that the physical world of atoms and the digital world of bits merge together.

Now, the question arises how the Internet of Things affects business model innovation – and how companies, entrepreneurs, and customers are supposed to respond. This is what is shown by the seventh film in the animation video series “Little Green Bags”.

Top 4 Business Stories of the Day

As investors get ready for a look at Twitter’s first quarterly financial report as a public company after the close of markets Wednesday, there’s some mixed data out on how good the Super Bowl was for its business. According to the research firm Mass Relevance, the number of Top 100 brand advertisers buying sponsored posts on the social media site during the big game rose to 29, from eight last year. Yet, according to ow.ly, a website that tracks Twitter activity, the number of tweets during the Super Bowl rose a tiny 3%, to 25 million, after surging 76% last year. The starkly different views of its performance during the world’s most-popular media event reflect just how nascent Twitter’s business model is, as many in the tech industry are still trying to figure out the best way to measure it.
The U.S. stock market was headed for another day of losses Wednesday afternoon, as a survey on hiring did little to ease uncertainty over the health of the economy. The decline was broad, snaring consumer products, transportation and technology companies, and effectively wiped out modest gains from a day earlier. The Dow Jones industrial average was down 2 points, or 0.02 percent, to 15,442 at 12:30 p.m. Eastern time, but it was teetering between gains and losses.
Deutsche Bank has fired three currency traders in New York as regulators worldwide ramp up their investigations into potential manipulation of the $5-trillion-a-day foreign exchange market. The three employees include the head of Deutsche Bank’s emerging markets foreign exchange trading desk in New York and two traders. Deutsche Bank, the largest trader of currencies, with about 15.2 percent of the market, placed several traders in New York on leave in January. The bank declined to comment on Wednesday, citing its policy not to discuss individual employees.
The U.S. stock market is poised for a lower open Wednesday following a modest recovery the day before. Dow Jones industrial average futures fell 25 points to 15,313 about 45 minutes before the U.S. stock market opened on Wednesday. Standard & Poor’s 500 index futures were down five points to 1,738. Britain’s FTSE 100 edged up 0.2 percent and the CAC-40 in France was down 0.2 percent.
